AVILÉS BLACK NIGHT

D(es)tiempos is a piece installed in the Palace of Valdecarzana, a gothic palace built between the centuries XIV and XV. It is the oldest civil building in Asturias and the only example of bourgeois architecture present in the town. Today it is known as The Historical Archive of Avilés.
The piece intervenes the pointed arches of the lower area and shows images projected in the window from Avilés’ archive of their people and customs. Through the tubes, which are a birdcall for viewers to see through them, the images of people from archive merge with those of pedestrians who look through a webcam, which captures their portrait, merging in the projection both images taken in different historical times and generate a new one of no specific moment.
